Mission Capabilities:
Our nature as MARSOC gives us access to the full inventory of USSOCOM, and allows us to undertake missions conventional units would not have the resources or training for. MARSOC’s core mission set includes: direct action, special reconnaissance and foreign internal defense. MARSOC has also been used for counter-terrorism and information operations.
Some examples of what the 3d can bring to Joint Operations:
– Dive and HALO insertions
– direct action assaults on objective (think fast roping into compounds, landing helicopters on target buildings and driving trucks through walls)
– long range reconnaissance and marksman elements
– Vehicles unique to SOCOM, like Mk V SOVs and Littlebird gunships
– trained and qualified roleplayers for the enemy
– Zeus operators experienced in both traditional and unconventional missions
