  1. Currently working insane hours as a maintenance technician at a hotel, which explains why I haven't been around for a while. Before that I worked as a rampie at my airport. Going back to school for system and network administration.

    Happy birthday, solid present.

Thanks! The best part about it is that it was cheap as hell, too. Got a great deal on it.

Thanks buddy! How do you like your KSG? I wanna shoot one, but I don't know if something I'd want to own.

    9mm master race shows supreme

It really is a great calibre. All them home defence junkies will go on and on about "stopping power", but there's a reason why the SEALs used the SIGs in 9mm for so long, and when they switched to a new service pistol it was still a 9mm (Glock 19).

All four primary branches of the US Armed Forces are adopting the M17. The Marines are buying 35,000. It's unknown if that's for conventional Marine forces only (replacing the M1911A1, M9, etc.) or also includes MARSOC.

For now, we don't really have an accurate M45 pistol, so I guess strict immersion dictates the M9 as the closest approximate representation, while the more practical minded would probably take the Custom Covert II as it's the only pistol in the arsenal with a suppressor.

It's also worth noting that MARSOC operators typically prefer and choose the Glock 17 over the M45

Filling vacancies in Command Staff requires a unanimous vote of all active members.  This can not take place unless SgtMaj De Leo and GySgt Whitacre vote or three days pass from their request to retire.

Maybe in theory, but that hasn't been the case in practice. I won't name names, despite that most people here know who I'm talking about, but one person has already been promoted to Command Staff without any votes by the unit.

The mod was incredible, and don't be fooled friend you can (literally) create that entire little teaser with current mods, so we wont be getting anything new.  All things considered its most likely going to be a polished version of the Nimitz. Also playing ArmA for as long as I have , going to just sit back and wait to see what actually comes out because I have been fooled by Bohemia's teasers before.

I'm gonna go ahead and disagree with you. Aside from the server performance issues, the Nimitz is incredibly low fidelity (looking at you, lack of collision detection and lack of textures on the pale-grey walls), It's not nearly as refined. It's an Arma 2 mod ported to Arma 3. I'm gonna take the A3-native (and official) asset over that any day.

  7. Nice! Unfortunately I can't do the drill since the laws here only permit shooting restricted firearms (which AR15s and pistols are classified here as) at ranges, and my range doesn't allow walking forward of the firing line without written permission - and they wouldn't give just me permission to do this.

I just got this odd shotgun in the mail the other day though, maybe I'll try with it. ;)

  8. I'd love to do this, but my range doesn't permit walking forward of the firing line without prior written permission and I doubt the board of directors would approve a request for this without organizing an actual event there.

I could go inna woods with my SKS, though. :P
