ORIENTATION: Venezuelan forces have seized control of the island of San Esperito and are fortifying their positions before the 24th Marine Expeditionary Unit arrives in force. They are concentrating the forces in the two major cities and are working to solidify their control over the island. We are conducting operations to undermine the Venezuelan influence and control over the island.

2. MISSION

Alpha Company (WHO) is attempting to degrade Venezuelan forces (WHAT) in AO MAINE (WHERE) in preparation for the 24th MEU’s landings (WHY).

 

3. EXECUTION

 

a. Commander's Intent
Commander's intent is to destroy any SAMs in the vicinity of OBJ SKY before they are able to be redeployed.

 

b. Concept of the Operation

MSOT 8313 is tasked with destroying a SAM convoy attempting to relocate to the West during the storm. The gas station at OBJ SKY will put the convoy the farthest away from any other Venezuelan QRF, making it the most vulnerable. A security squad is expected to be escorting the convoy. No civilian presence was noted in the area prior to the storm rolling in and disrupting ISR. The SAMs represent one of the main threats to the coming naval invasion and must be destroyed at all costs. 

Additional tasking will be given in-field as determined as needed by ROUNDTABLE.

 

- Scheme of Maneuver
Hades will insert via 160th SOAR and conduct a near shore water drop to North of Island
Hades will then move to RlyP near top of Hill 286 for recon onto OBJ SKY gas station.
Hades will then move according to recon
Hades will utilize ranged AT assets if able if SAMS are already at OBJ SKY
Hades will otherwise occupy gas station and set up ambush
Hades will conduct raid style attack if neither option is viable
Hades will then EXFILL unless additional tasking is received 

 

- Fire Support Plan

160th SOAR via established JTAC/Air-Ground Channels or Hades HQ/10 if no JTAC is present.

TAC 1 & 2 will be primary assaulting elements

Method of transporting will be done by aerial assets of the 160th SOAR or boat

Rearm will be from USS Faragut or delivered by the 160th.

Treated via self aid initially followed by SARCs

 

- Enemy Prisoners Of War (EPOWs)
Detain in as secure of a location as possible, conduct aid as needed, hand over to HQ at earliest opportunity.
