ORIENTATION: The 3dMRB has been deployed to Afghanistan IOT conduct FTXs alongside 160th SOAR. With the situation in Afghanistan growing more and more stable by the day the Afghan government has specifically requested to be the host nation for this FTX. The main purpose of this FTX is to practice closer cooperation between ground and aviation elements.

2. MISSION

Alpha Company (WHO) is conducting FTXs (WHAT) in AO VALKYRIE (WHERE) To improve coordination between Aviation and Ground Elements (WHY).

 

3. EXECUTION

 

a. Commander's Intent
Commander's intent is to locate and destroy all enemy forces, bombs, & drugs at OBJs

 

b. Concept of the Operation

MSOT 8313 HADES is tasked with conducting heliborne assaults on OBJ PICARD, OBJ KIRK, and OBJ SISKO. The LZs as marked are fixed for the purposes of this exercise. Each of these OBJs is to be cleared and searched for bomb-making materials and drug smuggling.

 

 

- Scheme of Maneuver
Hades will board HELOs and land at designated LZs.
Hades will assault OBJ
Hades will detonate or otherwise destroy all enemy contraband
Repeat until all OBJs complete
EXFILL to FOB

 

- Fire Support Plan

160th SOAR via established JTAC/Air-Ground Channels or Hades HQ/10 if no JTAC is present. 
 

c. Tasks

HQ will maintain comms with friendly forces & air assets
TAC 1 & 2 will be primary assaulting elements

4. ADMINISTRATION & LOGISTICS

a. Administration

 

-Transportation

Method of transporting will be done by aerial assets of the 160th SOAR or boat

 

-Supply

Rearm will be from USS Faragut or delivered by the 160th.

Treated via self aid initially followed by SARCs

 

- Enemy Prisoners Of War (EPOWs)
Detain in as secure of a location as possible, conduct aid as needed, hand over to HQ at earliest opportunity.

Elements are to carry maximum allowed AT (1x MAWWS or 4x Disposables)
