WARNING ORDER
MSOT 8311 Legion

 

SITUATION: Friendly Moroccan Forces are in a general retreat from the border as Algerian Mechanized units have swarmed their local defenses and are pushing in force deeper into the country. MSOT 8311 Legion is tasked with assisting in a delaying action in the town of Majan IOT to buy time for additional Moroccan reinforcements to be brought forward.

 

ENEMY: The main OPFOR in this AO is an Algerian Mechanized Company from the 40th Mechanized Division, supported by Special Forces from the 104th Operational Manuever Regiment. They are known to have BMP-2's, T72's, and Long Range SAM Systems (SA-11 BUK). Enemy Regular infantry is NOT well equipped with night vision, and will probably have to halt their attack when darkness falls.

 

FRIENDLY:

16th Mechanized Brigade, Royal Moroccan Army (Reduced)

 

MISSION:

MSOT 8311 will conduct a Defense in Depth/Delaying Action to destroy enemy mechanized units and allow time for friendly reinforcements to be brought forward.

160th SOAR will support MSOT 8311

 

COMMANDERS INTENT:
Provide Anti-Armor support to Friendly Moroccan forces.

SPECIAL INSTRUCTIONS
1x Squad of Moroccan forces is stationed at each location marked on the map and has fortified them with sandbags and plywood. The International Hotel on the SW side of Town, a Construction Site on the SE, and the local Police Station in the North. They have also established hasty roadblocks at marked locations to try to slow the enemy and channelize their advance through the outskirts of town, where there is more open fields of fire.
