Afghanistan crumbles amidst Taliban and ISIS disputes. ADA News - Dateline July 6th 2019 The country of Afghanistan has long been a country plagued by war and sectarian violence. From the Soviet invasion in the 70s to the American invasion and subsequent overthrow of the Taliban government it has been a long and troubled path to recovery for the poor middle eastern nation. US Involvement in Afghanistan dropped to a record low during 2016 when the United States withdrew a majority of their forces and allowed the ANA to take over general upkeep and security. With the US withdrawal from Afghanistan the country’s path to recovery took a sharp turn downwards. Taliban force reemerged in less than a year and caught the ill prepared ANA off guard, taking portions of western Afghanistan, most notably including the city of Herat, despite there still being a US presence around the city at the time. From there US forces were redeployed, much to the displeasure of the american public, and control was re-established over western Afghanistan during an 8 month long U.S. lead offensive. The U.S. recommitted to training, more effectively this time, the ANA and ANP to protect and defend their own land. Any progress made during that year was abruptly shattered when ISIS detonated a chemical weapon in the capital city on voting day. Coalition forces struggled to maintain control as public support of the democratic government and coalition forces dropped to the lowest it had in years. Many people turned back to the nearly defeated Taliban for security and support as their democratic government failed them. Spurred on by the sudden influx of support, the Taliban launched a major offensive recovering large areas of Northern Afghanistan and reestablishing Taliban rule in these areas. The Afghan government has announced a “temporary withdrawal” from these areas essentially leaving them wide open for the Taliban to walk in and claim them without resistance. This hegemony over Northern Afghanistan has recently come under threat however as ISIS-A (Islamic State of Iraq and Syria - Afghanistan branch) has seen a significant influx of fighters and material following the ISIS collapse in Iraq and Syria. Using contacts in the fractured Iran, ISIS has managed to transfer large parts of its most diehard fighters to Afghanistan and have begun muscling in on Taliban territory in the North sparking several engagements between the two terrorist organizations. Amidst this chaos, reports are also coming in from a group of political moderates banding together following the Afghan governments withdrawal. These moderates have taken on the name “United front for the Salvation of Afghanistan”, more commonly known as “The Northern Alliance”. Drawing on the legacy of the historic Northern alliance who fought against the Taliban regime from 1996 until the US invasion in 2001. Reports are scarce but over the past couple of weeks it seems that they have successfully fought both ISIS-A and The Taliban to a standstill. ANA forces secure an ISIS-A held compound in Northern Afghanistan. The region's future remains uncertain as the hard pressed Afghan government has declined to comment on what seems like a surrender of their territory to the Taliban. A NATO spokesperson has commented that NATO forces remain committed to the Iran-Iraq standoff but will offer Afghanistan all possible support. The Pentagon has neither confirmed nor denied the rumors of US Special Forces deploying to Afghanistan. Boko Haram fighter cross into Chad, fleeing joint Nigerian-US Crackdown The recent crackdown by Nigerian authorities against the terrorist organization Boko Haram has had some unexpected consequences as Chadian border posts have been reporting large numbers of Boko Haram fighters attempting to cross the border, sometimes by force. The past week Chadian border posts have reported at least 400 terrorists crossing the border. Numerous small skirmishes have been reported and the Chadian Ministry of Defense have announced a large military mobilization to reinforce the border and hunt down any terrorists that have managed to cross. Already over 50 Boko Haram terrorists have been killed in the fighting alongside 20 Chadian soldiers and border police. This shift comes in the wake of a joint Nigerian-US operation against terrorism in Nigeria. Boko Haram has long been a thorn in the side of Nigerias government who have been able to repel the terrorists but not wipe them out entirely. This coupled with the recent fall of the ISIS “Caliphate” in Iraq and Syria means that terrorist groups across Africa has seen an influx of new volunteers that managed to escape death or capture in the Middle East Suspected Boko Haram fighter apprehended in a small village not far from the border. The UN and African Union have both declared full support for Chad who despite its poverty has taken a leading role in the fight against the plethora of terrorist organizations the plague the continent. With this new threat and its refugee crisis in the east due to the Sudanese civil war many international experts fear for the brittle stability of Chad. Chad is one of the poorest and most corrupt countries in the World and as such are ill suited to facing multiple crisises on both its western and Eastern border. Brigadier General Alawi Amoud. The man in charge of the 3000 man strong troop deployment to Chads western border stated that he and his men "Will hunt these rats day and night, they will find so safe refuge in Chad or anywhere else on this continent. They will be stamped out like the vermin they are". It remains to be seen if Chad can resist this new threat on its own. The pentagon has declined to comment on any possible US commitment to Chad. Then I only have one more question. Since I cant get my hands on an i7 8700k 6-Core, 12-Thread. Is a i7 9700K 8-Core, 8-Thread going to be better despite the lower threadcount?

What I got from this was "B or X to overclock. "ASUS ROG Strix B360-F Gaming, S-1151 Mothercard" has B in it, soooo I should be good, right?`(Yes I am really this hopeless with computer parts)

Compatibility wont be an issue, the store im ordering from automatically sorts compatible parts and dont allow you to order incompatible ones. Sadly no 8700ks available, next step is a 9700k. A bit steeper in price but still fiiancially managable. Worth?

1. The 8700 says it can go between 3.2 and 4.6 GHz 2. Cooler Master Hyper 212 Evo is listed as "incompatible" 3. Motherboard is listed as this imposing array of Star Trek techobabble: ASUS ROG Strix B360-F Gaming, S-1151, ATX, B360, DDR4, 2xPCIe-x16, M.2 4. The Ram upgrade is no issue, its a veeeeeery small increase in price nearly insignificant in context.

The same amount of RAM is available in 3200MHz for a miniscule rise in price, worth it? Sadly most electronic shops around here have removed the 8700k from stock for reasons unknown to science.
