  2. Hello all,

I'm back so my fun ops are as well. I like to make a tough fun op with various restrictions so Falconer is slightly nerfed. I also *will* try to kill you, there's a lose condition. I  really try hard to make these feel like true operations, with storylines and what not, and I expect you to follow my minimal rules in return.

This "campaign" will require the Contact DLC, as we are using the Livonia map.

For this series, we will be operating as the Sierra 7 Global Security Solutions Group, a band of corporate bandits hired out to slaughter poor people who get on people's skin. Famous for breaking a strike in South Olmetia with the use of a LRAD acoustic device and improvised pepperball mortar rounds that failed and killed 37 mine workers. Good company.

GSSG has been contracted by the Polish government to deal with bandits inside it's Livonia Exclusion Zone, or LEZ. The LEZ was formed after a nuclear disaster roughly on scale with Fukushima Daiichi. It has become a destination for migrants fleeing wars abroad. As many European countries threw up fences and anti-migrant violence spiked, the LEZ presented a better alternative. For some, it also presented an opportunity, as tensions were high and resources low. Migrant militias, European mob groups, and state actors are all active within the LEZ, and the Polish government mostly has let the wound fester. Now, however, the militias have begun venturing outside the LEZ, raiding farms, villages, and industrial areas for food and other supplies.

I will give you one big OOC Hint/Tip: Your briefings, both in and out of game, are presented THROUGH THE LENS of a profiteering PMC. They might brand people as terrorists even if they don't really meet that definition. Remember, and maybe counteract that bias when dealing with starving people trying to protect their families, and you may find your life a bit easier. Mobsters and CIA/FSB agents might not be so redeemable.

More information can be found in the presentation below, which is required reading for attendees, thanks!

All Briefings will be posted in this Google presentation, and I will make new posts in the thread for each mission roster and what not.

  3. I might join.

Another highly recommended mod to at least check out Boyle is "State Transfer Tool (SP)", it's obviously abusable but can be used to fix any bordergoring fuckups the Kaiserreich events system sometimes produces. Only the host should use it.

  5. I've added the briefing and the official time will be 1600EST tomorrow. Be there or be square!
Loadouts will be worked out when we get in, I'll be finished setting up by 1530 so we'll have plenty of time to work it all out, but we're using Russian gear and only 1x optics will be allowed.

  6. Hey guys I'm making a fun-op this weekend and I want you all to play it. Attendance is mandatory!!!

For those unaware, in addition to being the "annoying cancer guy with the memes" I'm also a Zeus Extraordinaire and ran S-2 for quite a while propelling us to exciting locations like "Afghanistan the first time", "The map that lagged a lot", and "Tanoa, again". I've hosted some pretty rad fun ops and I always let Falconer murder a lot of civilians so you know I'm fun for the party.

    Important things to know:

    • I make tough missions and I will try to kill you with my remote controlled AI so watch your sectors and prep rooms
    • I usually have a theme and vague restrictions like no optics so if you break my rules I will send BMP-4s at you
    • Brueske will be allowed to park one (1) aircraft into some terrain before being banished to ground
    • Someone I like is going to help me Zeus (TBA)

    Mission Stuff:

    • Bluff:
      • In short: We'll be playing as Russian Spetsnaz defending an embassy building during an evacuation and massed attack by both lightly armed militia and military.
      • The Tembelan government has been a reliable Russian ally in the region. Recent anti-government protests on Tembelan turned violent, with security forces brutally cracking down on protestors. The local military (henceforth TAF) launched an operation to protect protestors and seize control of the government, arresting the sitting President and her Cabinet. Protestors have rapidly turned their attention to our presence on the island, and are beginning to attack our installations.
      • First and foremost, we must protect and evacuate all embassy personnel. This will constitute the first phase of OPERATION ZONOVA
    • Plan of Action:
      • RITSAR will first protect the Embassy and attached military facility (collectively OBJ SOVA ["sava"]), primarily along axis of attack directed at PL1. Embassy personnel will meanwhile evacuate to OBJ SOKOL ["so-coll").
      • RITSAR will demolish the main embassy buildings at OBJ SOVA and fall back to PL2 when holding PL1 becomes untenable or when ordered by higher.
      • PL2 is a temporary position and may be abandoned when all friendlies have arrived at OBJ SOKOL or circumvented entirely.
      • PL3 should be held until all embassy personnel and RITSAR are evacuated OR position becomes untenable, at which point RITSAR should evacuate along the emergency route to the south by any means.
    • Friendlies:
      • RITSAR - Spetsnaz Team
      • COSSACK - Mi-8s
      • PLACEHOLDER - Command/Zeus
      • Embassy personnel
    • Imagery
      • Red indicated enemy routes of advance and blocking positions. Dotted blue line indicates emergency ground retreat route.

  7. owned

remember that the russian "carrier strike group" includes tug boats because the things engines shit out so much

It's basically just a vanity project and the only meaningful thing it has done was bring the air wing to Syria which then flew to a land base and operated from there
