Anyone still interested in this?

me before, during and after making a good meme

Anyone else play Overwatch comp? I've been playing a pretty decent amount, mostly bumping around Diamond. Goal next season is Master since I'll probably place into mid-diamond. If you want to play or just want to report in to show off, post your SR and mains. Players: Cole - ~3150SR, Rein/DVa/Pharah

if Milsim was anything like real life

Yes please!

This isn't happening, btw

I'm cautiously optimistic. I'll wait for gameplay and a beta, lol

I have completed my mission of providing urgent meme support to stranded Marine Raiders in the Omani desert: I want to make sure that everyone (except a certain SARC) knows this meme has the most lighthearted intent imaginable. Memes heal

Nothing goes on on Tuesdays, so here goes: I'll be hosting a series of funops that run on Tuesday nights, with a start time of 2000EST. Keep in mind that planning infield might take a little bit, but if you're interested in leadership you can show up 15 minutes early to plan. We'll be doing missions that we would sort of see on an FTX or a deployment, I just want to get some fun times on this new map, Lythium. Mods will be as follows: - Standard 3d Mods - Lythium map - JBad Buildings (required by Lythium) - Project OPFOR (you need the full version linked here, the unit has an edited version) The extra mods add in the map, it's unique buildings, and new BLUFOR/OPFOR/INDFOR/Civilian units to make the game more immersive. This means we'll have actual Afghan allies, enemies and civilians who look the part. Missions will vary, but I will try to keep them fun and generally more intense (or more engaging) than an official operation. I'm always open to feedback and new ideas to make the missions more desirable. I may change it up after a few and have us roll as an ODA or something along those lines for fun, but for now MARSOC is my go to. Also, biggest complaint I heard from the first mission was 1. Aviation was bored as shit 2. not enough contact in the beginning. As for 1, I'm working on integrating you guys better, but it's hard to simulate the overtasked nature of coalition air support when there's no other stuff going on in game. As for 2, this is easy and will be fixed. Here is the info for the upcoming mission, 09MAY17 Mission: Team 8300 will act as a QRF for local Afghan National Police and U.S. Army Airborne who are pinned down in a valley by Taliban fighters. More information will be provided in field, as the mission is a QRF. Roster: Team HQ Team Leader: Team Chief: Team SARC: Team Comms Chief/JTAC: Element One Element Leader: Asst. Hope everyone had fun! Expect another next week <3

On the ground or as an aviator?
-
You've all been added. If all slots are filled I can open another element or figure out a cool way to integrate more people. So if it's full, continue signing up and we'll figure it out.

Done, I will be the other Zeus. As for Proj OPFOR, that would bring the extra mods needed to 4.5GB and I didn't want to go too crazy on a one day's notice. If people enjoy the mission it will be on the next one.

Nothing goes on on Tuesdays, so here goes: I'll be hosting a funop tomorrow (02MAY17) at 1930EST. We'll be doing a mission that we would sort of see on an FTX or a deployment, I just want to get some fun times on this new map, Lythium. Mods will be as follows: - Standard 3d Mods - Lythium map - JBad Buildings (required by Lythium) These two extra mods are about 3GB but extremely worth it, the map is amazing. See the thread in Tun Tavern for more on that. I've created a WARNORD here. I did not plan on incorporating aviation. If you really, really want to do it, you'll be chained to your hangar until the ground team desperately needs CAS to simulate battlefield conditions often present in Afghanistan, but I'd rather have you on the ground. In a similar vein, I also don't need 5 Zeus's. I have room for two immersion specialists (you don't have to be qualified). Roster: Team HQ Team Leader: Sgt Derr Team Chief: Sgt Hawkins Team SARC: HN C. Frost Team Comms Chief/JTAC: Sgt Coburn Element One Element Leader: Asst. Element Leader: SARC: HM2 Heikinheimo CSO: Cpl Melo CSO: Cpl Reed Element Two Element Leader: Sgt Jennings Asst. Element Leader: Cpl Wendel SARC: HM3 Sokolowski CSO: LCpl McKnight CSO: LCpl Bailey Zeus: Zeus: 1stLt G. Parker Immersion Lads: Immersive Lad: LCpl Seixeiro Immersive Lad: Cpl Imeson Aviation (must be pilot billet): Zoom Zoom: 1stLt Gluttony Swoosh Swoosh: 2ndLt Whelan Walk-ons: 1stLt Ray SSgt Hito Sgt Edwards Hope to see a full team out there! If you can't make it at 1930 we probably won't actually step off on the mission until 2000, and even if you can't make that I'll be happy to tactically reinsert you.

BREAKING NEWS: MARINES COME UNDER ARTILLERY FIRE IN OMAN Globe and Anchor -- 30APR17 IBRI, Oman -- Just past sundown this evening, Omani bases along the Malakabel frontier came under artillery fire from across the border. Omani troops responded with a reciprocal amount of artillery fire, as taught by U.S. and British military advisors. While it’s currently unclear who started the exchange, most fingers point to Malakabel. As part of this exchange, U.S. Marines, as well as members of the other services, forward staged to bases across the border came under indirect fire. Fortunately, according to USCENTCOM deputy commander LTGEN James Simms, USAF, no casualties are reported at this time. Marines move to cover after a round of artillery shells strike their firebase. “It looks like all SOPs and ROEs were followed at this time” said USCENTCOM, “But we have nothing further to report.” The Pentagon deferred all comment to a press conference scheduled for later in the day. The Marines are in the region to dissuade aggression from Malakabel, a small nation wedged between Oman, Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates, all partners of the U.S. on regional security. James Austin - The Globe and Anchor This article is a work of fiction, intended to support the storyline of the 3d MRB Arma 3 realism unit.
