I use Curse myself and recommend it if you have a Curse account. If you don't, you can use the old legacy clients that don't require you to make a new user.

If you guys would like we can probably find a healthy mix of magic/techie stuff, I love the techie stuff but haven't looked too much into magical stuff yet. FTB is always a good one for that and relatively easy to set up, they have a separate launcher that doesn't require any user registration or anything too, I believe...

I'll look into finding a modpack that isn't overly imposing - we don't necessarily have to do stuff together if someone wants to lone wolf it, either.

I'd be down, been watching a few youtubers do a Troll craft series, while I'm not suggesting doing that (however not apposed to it), https://www.atlauncher.com/pack/Trollcraft , they use a lot of really sweet mods that allow them to do a whole ton of cool things with red stone and traveling into different dimensions. Would be cool to pick a few as its a large pack.

After looking at mod lists for most of the above, I was thinking FTB Infinity Lite. It seems to have a healthy mix of all the above mods (or alternatives to them), and it's for a more recent version of Minecraft. I'll be giving it a test after the operation tonight, if it works OK, I'll post the server details!

I finally got my server up again, this time running FTB Revelation, same launcher etc. There's teams on the server
