Capt Boyle Posted January 21, 2023 OPERATION ORDER DATE OF OPERATION OTL 22JAN23 2000 EST IUT 21MAY21 0900 IGT ORIENTATION: Serbian forces have invaded Kosovo and Montenegro. Currently, the Serbian 3rd Brigade is bearing down on us from the North. Hostile fixed-wing is present in roving combat air patrols and enemy helicopters have been operating in the AO. Secure comms with higher have not been established due to jamming and the Kosovans have lost contact with their command in Pristina as well. Serbia is using a significant amount of fires to screen their advance. Delay them for as long as possible. 1. SITUATION a Enemy Forces Size: 1x Tank Company, 2-3x Mechanized Infantry Platoons, 1x mobile SAM battery, Unknown number of Motorized Infantry Activity: Pushing South Unit: Serbian 3rd Brigade Time: 0900 Equipment: Mostly Soviet block small arms and armor b.Friendly Forces Higher mission: Survive Adjacent Units: Kosovan 3rd Battalion Supporting Units: 1x Kosovan mortar battery c. Attachments & Detachments 160th SOAR d. Civilian Considerations As per SOP 2. MISSION MSOT 8312 is tasked with eliminating the SAM battery escorting the armored column. 3. EXECUTION a. Commander's Intent Commander's intent is to ambush and destroy the SAMs before they are able to scatter. b. Concept of the Operation - Scheme of Maneuver Viking will move quickly to the ambush point and dig in. The team will wait until the SAMs enter the Killzone before engaging. NO ONE IS TO FIRE ON ANYTHING ELSE UNLESS FIRED UPON FIRST. Once the SAMs are eliminated, the team will pull out East and loop South to the town of Karbinti. The team will dig in and hold the town until Kosovan forces can withdraw. After that, the team will withdraw as well. - Fire Support Plan 160th via established JTAC Channels or Hades HQ/10 if no JTAC is present. Friendly mortar battery via JTAC c. Tasks d.
