Capt Boyle Posted March 3, 2023 WARNING ORDER MSOT 8312 1. SITUATION. a. Overview: Serbian forces have invaded Kosovo and Montenegro. Currently, the Serbian 1st and 2nd Brigades are attempting to push from the North, but the Montenegrins are slowing their assaults. The 63rd Parachute 72nd Special Operations Brigades are still operating in the area. Hostile fixed-wing is conducting CAS and limited CAP missions and Serbian helicopters have been constantly operating in the AO. We need to hold the Serbians in the mountains, or their forces can break out and overrun the reach of the country b. The Areas of interest are the towns of Belograv and Ratina. c. Area of Operations is AO ATLAS. The terrain is hills and small mountains with dense forests and urban areas. Weather is expected to be clear with a low chance of rain. The time will be 1945 on the 27th of May. d. Enemy Forces. Serbian 1st Brigade is pushing South on the West side of the river while the 2nd Brigade is advancing on the East side. The force consists of armored, mechanized, motorized, artillery, and airmobile forces that have all been seen in the AO advancing South. The Serbs have established a radio relay station in the town of Belograv and an artillery battery south of Ratina. The former is helping coordinate the 2nd Brigade’s movements, and the latter is close to enabling a Serbian breakthrough along the river. A Serbian motorized QRF is stationed in the town of Dencity. e. Friendly Forces The Montenegrin 2nd Infantry Battalion is holding the area and slowing the Serbian advance but they are stretched thin. Montenegrin resistance forces are operating behind the lines, and are positioned to intercept the Serbian QRF from Dencity. f. Alpha Company (WHO) is attempting to slow the Serbian advance (WHAT) against the Montenegrins in AO ATLAS (WHERE) to buy time until the Truman Strike Group can arrive (WHY). 3. EXECUTION.a. Concept of Operations. MSOT 8312 is tasked with assaulting the radio relay station to lure out the QRF from Dencity for the resistance to ambush. Once the QRF is dealt with, the team is to leave the area and move against the artillery battery South of Ratina and capture the guns. Expect limited resistance from the battery itself, but this will likely trigger a response. We need those guns intact to give the Montenegrins more firepower, Additional tasking will be given in-field as determined as needed by Roundtable.
