Capt Boyle Posted April 12, 2023 WARNING ORDER MSOT 8313 1. SITUATION. a. Overview: Serbian forces have invaded Kosovo and Montenegro, and the US has intervened. Currently, the Serbian 1st and 2nd Brigades are retreating as the Montenegrins counterattack along the frontlines. The 63rd Parachute Brigade has largely fled the area, but the 72nd Special Operations Brigade is still in the AO. Hostile aviation has largely been eliminated, though there may be a few Serbian helicopters still in the AO. We are conducting operations to aid the Montenegrins in liberating their territory. b. The Area of Interest is the military base near the town of Fuxin and occupied territory North of the river. c. Area of Operations is AO ATLAS. The terrain is hills and small mountains with dense forests and urban areas. Weather is expected to be clear with a low chance of rain. The time will be 1200 on the 7th of June. d. Enemy Forces Serbian 1st Brigade is attempting to pull back from their more exposed positions on the Western side of the river while the 2nd Brigade is trying to retreat from the Eastern side. The force consists of armored, mechanized, motorized, artillery, and airmobile forces that have all been seen in the AO. However, resistance activity and our airstrikes have limited their options for withdrawal. At least one company of the 11th Infantry Battalion is attempting to retreat in the North with collaborators in tow. Elements of the 27th Mechanized Battalion were cut off from their retreat and have holed up in the former Montenegrin military base near Fuxin. e. Friendly Forces The Montenegrin 2nd Infantry Battalion is advancing North with our support. They have concentrated their forces and are pushing along the MSRs. Montenegrin forces are holding a loose perimeter around OBJ CAULDRON and will have APCs and MRAPs available to aid in the assault. Montenegrin resistance forces are operating behind the lines and may be able to provide support. Carrier Air Wing One is on standby if necessary, though it is currently tasked with strikes against Serbian forces in Kosovo. An AC-130 flying out of Spain will be available to provide fire support. An RQ-4 will be conducting high-altitude reconnaissance of the area as well. f. MSOT 8313 is tasked with clearing out the Fuxin military base (OBJ CAULDRON) that the Montenegrins have surrounded and preventing Serbian forces from withdrawing intact from the North with collaborators (OBJ BROOM). The Montenegrins would like their military infrastructure returned intact, as well as any collaborators alive for trial. If either of these presents a significant threat to the team, however, the team is cleared to engage appropriately. Collaborators will be identifiable as wearing police uniforms. Additional tasking will be given in-field as determined as needed by Roundtable. Map of AO ATLAS as of 1100 8313 AO OBJ CAULDRON via satellite OBJ BROOM via satellite 4. SUSTAINMENT a.
