Subject: Notice of Deployment

 

All Commands and Attachments are hereby notified that Alpha Company, 3d MRB (rein); Alpha Section, 160th SOAR, and all supporting detachments are to prepare for immediate deployment to the country of Takistan. All commands are to ensure OPSEC through rank and file. Deployment for all commands is required no later than December 12th, 2022.

 

Briefing as follows.

 

Takistani President Mehran Rahmon was killed yesterday in a military coup by the Islamic Resistance Party of Takistan. This has triggered a collapse of stability within Takistan and the State Department has issued a Level 4 travel advisory to US Citizens within the country. Intelligence estimates predict a roughly even chance of further regional disruption as a consequence of escalations by the new government. US intervention is currently limited to the security and evacuation of US Citizens however, a more forceful political intervention remains a possibility should the new government prove hostile to US Interests.

 

Given the 3d MRB's current deployment in Afghanistan, Alpha Company, 3d MRB (rein) represents the closest SOF unit in the region with integrated F3EAD and direct action capabilities. That capability will be required for a rapid political intervention should the new Takistani government choose to escalate further. For the time being, focus your efforts on the evacuation of US Citizens in the country. Data on their current whereabouts and logistical requirements have been attached. You will likely need to use military force to conduct these extractions. You are authorized to engage the Islamic Resistance Party of Takistan, now the Takistani military, as you see fit in order to accomplish your objective.

 

Intelligence also suggests the Russian Government has a vested interest in the political leadership of the Takistani government and is willing to use force to ensure their goals are met. The involvement of Spetsnaz GRU teams within Takistan is regarded as highly probable. Intelligence data will be forwarded to your DSTs for integration into your F3EAD pipeline.

 

Outside of the Embassies MCESG, you will be operating as the sole US military asset within Takistan.
