Subject: Deployment Objective Update

 

All Commands and Attachments are hereby notified that the primary objective for Operation Scorched has been changed. The Islamic Resistance Party of Takistan (IRPT) which is now in control of the Takistani Government & Military, has openly declared Jihad against the US. Escalating volatility in this region threatens to undermine US interests in Afghanistan and further destabilize the region.

 

You are tasked with destabilizing the Islamic Resistance Party of Takistan and removing it from power. You are further tasked with restoring the previous regime to power or installing a new party that is friendly to US interests. Large-scale deployment of US forces to conduct COIN, stabilization or intervention operations in Takistan is not strategically viable. As such, your success is vital to ensure that Takistan does not become a larger problem on the global stage.

 

Intelligence estimates indicate that it is extremely likely Russian forces will continue to be operating in the region with objectives that are contrary to ours. Intelligence data regarding their activities has been forwarded to your DSTs.
