WARNING ORDER
MSOT 8311 Legion

 

SITUATION: Following the victory in the Second Battle of Majan Moroccan high command has fully comitted the 16th Mechanized Brigade in order to drive out any Algerian forces in the contested region of Western Sahara. Algerian forces have withdrawn into the Dariya region, fortifying several locations and utilizing a recently captured airbase to stage airmobile commandos and ATGM capable helicopters

 

ENEMY: The main OPFOR in this AO is a mixed Algerian/Polisario Front reinforced security platoon tasked with holding OBJ TATOOINE. This platoon is securing the airbase containing high value enemy assets including atleast 2 teams of the 104th Operational Maneuvers Regiment and several helicopters armed with ATGMs intended to stall the Moroccan counterattack.

 

FRIENDLY:

16th Mechanized Brigade, Royal Moroccan Army (Reinforced)

 

MISSION:

MSOT 8311 will conduct recon and if deemed possible, raid OBJ TATOOINE (078, 223) IOT destroy enemy rotary assets stationed there.
Additionally if deemed feasable MSOT 8311s raid will be redesignated an assault and MOST 8311 is to hold OBJ TATOOINE until relieved by Moroccan forces. This decision will have to be made by GFC on site. GFC will be kept apraised of Moroccan units progress.
 

160th SOAR will support MSOT 8311

 

COMMANDERS INTENT:
Destroy or severely damage enemy rotary assets at OBJ TATOOINE
Seize and hold OBJ TATOOINE. (Situation dependent)

 

RECONNAISSANCE:
None at this time. MSOT 8311 is primary recon asset. ROOK and Darter drones will be available for this purpose.

SPECIAL INSTRUCTIONS
The locating and destruction of enemy rotary assets is primary.
If GFC deems it feasable to seize the airbase GFC has authority to retask his Team and supporting assets for this purpose.
