Russian Peacekeepers Move to Protect Ethnic Russians in DPRC From NATO Soyuz News - October 12, 2019 At the behest of the newly formed Democratic People’s Republic of Chernarus, President Antonov ordered elements of the Russian Ground Force to move into their territory to act as peacekeepers in the face of the advancing NATO and CDF troops threatening to crush the new state. It appears that the fear of running into Russian forces led to a halting of their offensive, and the front lines have become a quasi-border, though there are reports of occasional skirmishes between CDF and DPRC troops. NATO has begun pouring reinforcements into the region to prop up their puppet President Konanov, with at least two divisions having begun moving into the former Soviet State, with some American Special Forces already being present. The latter are also reported to have begun aiding the Konanov regime in the illegal arrests of several prominent ethnic Russians. There has been widespread outrage across Russia at these reports, with a recent anti-NATO march in Moscow numbering in the hundreds of thousands. This peacekeeping mission comes one day after Foreign Minister Konev attempted to provide at least some hope of a peaceful resolution to the issue, by leading the Russian delegation to put forward a motion to the Security Council calling for a United Nations Peacekeeping force to be deployed to Chernarus. Unsurprisingly, it was vetoed by the American and British delegations over the protests of several other Security Council members, some of whom are already discussing leveling sanctions against these aggressive actions. After the vote, Minister Konev stated “It seems that NATO and the United States have once again decided that might makes right, and have abandoned all pretense of promoting democracy, choosing to silence those who resist their world view with force.” Since the DPRC declared their independence from Chernarus, there has been limited international recognition as few countries are willing to risk the West's ire, but Russian and her allies are willing to step up to aid the small nation on the international stage. Pictured: Russian peacekeepers moving towards the front lines through the town of Krasnostav Back in Chernarus, the situation appears to be stabilizing, at least in the Eastern half of the country, as Russian peacekeepers advance to the front lines. With few non-Western reporters allowed into the Republic of Chernarus, unbiased information is hard to come by, but Soyuz reporters were able to speak with those in the DPRC who were unafraid to state their beliefs now that Russian forces were shielding them from vengeful Chernarussian Internal Security Service (CISS) thugs. Osokin Valeryevich, a manager for a truck factory in the coastal city of Berezino, told Soyuz that he had feared for his and his family’s safety when the crackdown began. “Day after day, you saw more and more Russians rounded up by the police or the military,” he said, “and I would worry that tomorrow, it will be me or one of my daughters, because we speak out against Konanov.” When asked what he thought of the NATO deployment to his country, Osokin responded that “the Americans were just here to line their pockets, they do not give a damn about the people. But Russia? She actually cares about us.” Closer to the border, the people are anxious but celebrating the situation. Sergeyeva Mikhailovna, the wife of a farmer near Krasnostav, thanked Russia for coming to their aid. “We used to see Konanov’s men everyday, ready to arrest any of us who wanted real democracy,” she said as she waved to a passing convoy of Russian peacekeepers, “Now all you see are our liberators! They were going to turn our home into a war zone, and we can’t thank you enough for stopping them.” By Aleksei Brusilov Soyuz News

United States Deploys Forces to Republic of Chernarus The Grand Central Times - Dateline October 10th 2019 US Forces Unloading from a C-17 Globamaster within Chernarus The Republic of Chernarus, a small democratic country near the Black Sea, has been under attack by a group of Russian ultranationalists since the beginning of October. Though they were caught by surprise the Chernarus Defense Force valiantly held off the enemy onslaught and defended their capital of Chernogorsk. The CDF gained some ground back, retaking their largest airbase as well as a number of cities before both sides reached a stalemate, became heavily entranced and unable to gain ground. Chernarussian President Konanov appealed to the United States for support in retaking his country from this extremist group, and the US government promised the immediate deployment of Forces to the region. The Pentagon also released a statement confirming that the group now assaulting the Republic of Chernarus is the same one responsible for the roadside attack on the Under Secretary of State. Flight of AH-1Z "Vipers" from the 13th MEU overflying a CDF Airfield President Moore has promised a quick and decisive end to the conflict and has deployed elements of the 13th MEU, 2nd Cavalry Regiment, 4th Infantry Division, and the 101st Airborne, including the 1-506th Infantry who are veterans of the previous Chernarussian conflict in 2015. As the US was instrumental in maintaining the freedom of the Republic of Chernarus in the previous conflict, the CDF has reportedly welcomed them with open arms. The Pentagon has declined further comment but it is expected that US forces will begin offensive operations as soon as they are fully deployed. Chenarus, The DPRC and you: What you need to know Odessia News - Dateline October 8th 2019 By Ivan Vladosk A week have passed since the Red Guard began their offensive against the CDF and the state of Chenarus, with mixed success on either end, and we can now confidently deliver you what we know to be the most up to date information on the front line and where both sides stand. Starting with the CDF, initially caught off guard by the sudden offensive they were pushed back to the city of Chernogorsk, where they were able to steel themselves and hold a defensive position that snakes up to the north through the towns of Nadezhino and Novy Sobor, all the way to the ancient Chernorussian heritage site of Devils Castle before ending at the Russian border to the north. According to our source most cities and towns have taken minimal damage from the fighting, with both sides attempting to preserve infrastructure are much as they can, though it is rumored that the aforementioned Devils Castle was damaged in a CDF assault, however we have been unable to independently verify these claims. Pictured: Devils Castle by Fedir Savych 01/21/18 As for the Red Guard and their self proclaimed 'Democratic Peoples Republic of Chenarus', their offensive stalled to a halt at the defensive positions erected by the CDF and they have seemed to entrench themselves into the ground they obtained, forming a Line of Control similar to what is seen between India and Pakistan. Hastily fabricated road blocks and sandbag bunkers scatter the front, with scattered artillery fire rocking the surrounding towns. Most locals have moved to the far side of either front, if only to escape the fighting and any potential danger. From what we've been able to gather, the newly formed state is controlled by a "Council of Thirteen" that votes for major decisions and changes inside of this newly formed nation, whether its in regards to infrastructure and civilian relief all the way to large scale military movements. It is worth noting that NATO has yet to recognize this fledgling state and it's uncertain if they will in the coming months. With such tempestuous times one can only guess what the future holds for the people of Chenarus. Pictured: CDF at a checkpoint in Chenarus Pictured: Red Gaurd Checkpoint in Chenarus
