    Insurrection activities have been on the rise in the area. That doesn't mean we stop our work to gain the citizen's trust. The planet of Madrigal is vital to the UNSC for its natural resources so making sure that the civilian population favors us over those terrorists is a must. 

     

    Today your squad is activated to perform some tasks in the AO under the callsign Hocus. Some tasks will be to aid civilians while other tasks will be to help UNSC outposts so that the fight against the Insurrection can carry on in the background. Stay frosty. Even a mundane task could leave you vulnerable to ambush by terrorists.

  4. Cytech Industries has been developing tech for CSAT for the past few years. A popup company seemingly out of nowhere pouring lots of money into R&D certainly got our attention. We've kept an eye on their facilities. The one we've been tracking the most is an underground facility constructed in the northeast of Altis.

    Being underground it's hard to get eyes on site. We've been using various devices to track different measures to get an idea of what might be going on down there. As of two days ago, there was a sudden spike in electromagnetic activity. Various sources of radiation have also been sniffed out. These readings came directly following a minor 3.2 earthquake that was felt by locals. CSAT military personnel have been seen flocking to the area. We need to get eyes on that facility and try to recover whatever tech we can find. You're being sent in.

  5. Well your first few days at the FSB have been quite lively but we're about to kick it up a notch. I'm talking full blown push north to sweep these commie [censored] out of the jungle. Drop your boots and grab your floaties however, as we're heading up river to cause havoc and eliminate AAA threats.

  7. July 17th 1944

     

    Allied forces are fighting the Germans for control over Chef-du-Pont, a small French village with a valuable bridge. While this would be a significant victory in itself, allowing friendly armor to advance further inland, there is a more valuable prize. A German airfield and military installation were spotted by recon to the south. British Commandos are being sent in to clear it and capture the airfield.

    Korean and Chinese troops have overrun a section of the 1st Marine Division along the Chosin Reservoir. You're part of a Ranger detachment of the US 5th Ranger Infantry Company that is going to descend down the Toktong Pass and counter assault the Chinese 39th and Korean 9th armies. You'll be supported by T26's and M4 Sherman's from the 89th Tank Batallion that still linger in the area. The main objective is to eleminate anti-air positions along the bank so that once the current blizzard passes, air support can come in.

  11. Good time zone everyone. In leu of a funop this weekend I figure why not try out some GMOD? I have a "modpack" setup with gamemodes, maps, player models, and such.

    There's 2 main rules for me when it comes to these games. 
    1. Dead Men Tell No Tales. You're dead, play dead. You can make death noises if you see the death coming, othewise if it's a sudden instant death try not to make noise. And stay quiet when dead!
    2. Have fun. Not a joke, just legitimately. Remember it's all a game and meant to be funny. 

    One of the TTT mods adds additional roles. I'm using specifically the outdated version because there isn't as much setup needed and the newer one has a shit ton of roles to file through. Might swap to it eventually. These roles all have custom rules so I'll spoiler tag them so as to not take up that much space.

    Innocent Team:
    Goal: Kill all members of the traitor team

     

    Innocent
    • A standard player. Has no special abilities

     

    Detective
    • All other players are notified of the Detectives at the start of the round
    • Can search bodies of dead players
         ◦ Reveals the role, what killed them, who they last saw and other useful information to all players
         ◦ If other players try to search a body it will instead alert Detectives of the body’s location
    • Has access to a shop
         ◦ Spawns with two credits
         ◦ Gains a credit whenever a member of the traitor team is killed

     

    Glitch
    • Has a chance to spawn instead of an Innocent
    • Appears as a Traitor (or Zombie) to members of the traitor team
    • Prevents members of the traitor team from using team text and voice chat

     

    Mercenary
    • Has a chance to spawn instead of an Innocent
    • Has access to a shop
         ◦ Spawns with one credit
         ◦ Can buy any naturally occuring weapon or items available to both Detectives and Traitors

     

    Phantom
    • Has a chance to spawn instead of an Innocent
    • Haunts attackers on death
         ◦ Haunted players leave a smoke trail behind them
         ◦ Killing the haunted player will revive the Phantom on 50 health
         ◦ Detectives are notified when the Phantom is killed or revived

     

    Traitor Team:
    Goal: Kill all members of the innocent team

     

    Traitor
    • Notified of team members and Jesters at the start of the round
    • Has access to a shop
         ◦ Spawns with one credit
         ◦ Gains a credit whenever enough innocent team members are killed

     

    Assassin
    • Has a chance to spawn instead of a Traitor
    • Notified of team members and Jesters at the start of the round
    • Given a random target at the start of the round
         ◦ Deals double damage to the target and half damage to all other players
         ◦ When the target dies a new target is selected
         ◦ Detectives will always be the final targets
         ◦ Killing the wrong player will fail the contract and the Assassin will deal half damage to all players
    • Has access to a basic shop
         ◦ Spawns with no credits
         ◦ Gains a credit whenever enough innocent team members are killed

     

    Hypnotist
    • Has a chance to spawn instead of a Traitor
    • Notified of team members and Jesters at the start of the round
    • Spawns with a brain washing device
         ◦ When used on a dead body it will revive them at full health
         ◦ Changes the role of the revived player to Traitor
         ◦ Cannot be used on Jesters and Swappers
    • Has access to a basic shop
         ◦ Spawns with no credits
         ◦ Gains a credit whenever enough innocent team members are killed

     

    Vampire
    • Has a chance to spawn instead of a Traitor
    • Notified of team members and Jesters at the start of the round
    • Spawns with fangs
         ◦ When used on a dead body it will destroy the body and heal 50 health up to a maximum of 125 health
         ◦ Right click will grant short term speed and invisibility on a cooldown
    • Has access to a basic shop
         ◦ Spawns with no credits
         ◦ Gains a credit whenever enough innocent team members are killed

     

    Zombie
    • Has a chance to spawn instead of all Traitors
    • Notified of team members and Jesters at the start of the round
    • Spawns with claws
         ◦ Deals 50 damage to members of the innocent team
         ◦ If used to kill a player they will repsawn as a zombie
    • Deals half damage will all standard weapons
    • Has access to a perk shop
         ◦ Spawns with no credits
         ◦ Gains a credit upon infecting another player with the claws

     

    Independent Players:

     

    Jester (Goal: Get killed by another player)
    • Has a chance to spawn instead of an Innocent
    • Deals no damage to other players or props
    • Takes no environmental damage (e.g. fire, fall, explosion...)
    • Can message members of the traitor team using team text and voice chat but will not recieve replies

     

    Swapper (Goal: Get killed by another player and then fulfill their old goal)
    • Has a chance to spawn instead of an Innocent
    • Appears as a Jester to members of the traitor team
    • Deals no damage to other players or props
    • Takes no environmental damage (e.g. fire, fall, explosion...)
    • Can message members of the traitor team using team text and voice chat but will not recieve replies
    • When killed by another player the Swapper swaps roles with their attacker
         ◦ The attacker will die instead and the Swapper will respawn with the newly swapped role
         ◦ If a Detective searches the body of the attacker they will look like a Swapper

     

    Killer (Goal: Be the last player standing)
    • Has a chance to spawn instead of an Innocent
    • Spawns with 150 health and maximum health
    • Traitors are notified if there is a Killer
    • Has access to a shop
         ◦ Spawns with one credit
         ◦ Can buy any naturally occuring weapon or items available to both Detectives and Traitors

    ONI Intelligence has informed us recently of a specimen outbreak in an abandoned research facility. Evidently there was a reactor leak and this caused the underground facility to fully evacuate and they never got the chance to destroy their specimens. When a cleanup team was put in to fix the reactor, they were attacked by specimens that managed to break free. Since then the whole facility has been on lockdown and the power was cut.

    We're not taking any chances. You're being sent in to terminate any specimens left. We have little information on them other than they're not of this world. Power will be restored and we'll send you the access codes to open the main vault door. Good luck.
