Transcript: President Moore Address to the Nation, October 31st, 2025

PRESIDENT THOMAS MOORE:

My fellow Americans

Four hours ago, the military junta which overthrew the Republic of Guinea murdered seventeen American citizens.

 

They did it on television. Reading out charges that none of these Americans were given the chance to answer. They bound their hands, covered their faces. They laid them on the floor of a warehouse and executed them for the crime of being Americans.

 

I have watched the recording. Many of you have watched it. I will not describe it further, out of respect for the seventeen families who lost their sons and daughters in such a horrific manner.

 

I have spoken with them. They are outraged.

As we all are.

 

Let me tell you who these Americans were. They were aid workers. They were missionaries. They were engineers and geologists who went to Guinea to help build a mine, or a railway or a bank. Men and women who went to help build a future, for a country that asked for help.

 

Not one of them carried a weapon. Not one was a spy. The government who murdered them knows that perfectly well.

 

Let me be clear: This was not a terrorist attack. This was not a militia, or a warlord, or a criminal gang. This atrocity was carried out by uniformed officers of a national army, in a government facility, on a state broadcast, on the orders of the men who currently occupy the presidential palace in the Guinean Capitol.

 

Three weeks ago, these same men coordinated the attack on our consulate. Three weeks ago they surrounded a downed USMC helicopter evacuating our people, and refused to give it back. We showed restraint. We went to our allies, we went to the United Nations, and we asked the world to act as we witnessed the genocide that began to unfold.

 

This restraint was a mistake.

 

The United States seeks no quarrel with the people of Guinea. The people of Guinea are not our enemy.

They are the first victims of this regime; burned out of their villages, hunted for their ethnicity, and instructed tonight to surrender to militias and give up.

 

The people of Guinea should do no such thing.

They should fight the corrupt regime. In defense of their own Liberty and for the prosperity of their Children.

 

We see them.

We have not forgotten them, and we will not.

 

But there is no government on this earth that may murder American citizens on live television and then expect the sun to shine the following day.

 

I received the options I asked for. I have made my decision, and the might of the US Military is already on its way.

 

To the seventeen families: We will bring your loved ones home. And we will hunt the men who did this, no matter how far they run.

 

To the men and women of our armed forces already in that region: your country will ask a great deal more of you. You have my complete confidence, and you have our unyielding support.
