Having Metro on while using the beta made the chat windows open for only a brief second before closing. It was working perfectly fine earlier (albeit with awful graphical issues on the main client as Steam was overriding certain parts of it). From what I've read on the group page for Metro, the primary developer is thinking this is the end of Steam skins for a time as it no longer uses VGUI, but Panorama (which is Valve's take on some HTML5/CSS stuff?). It would also seem that even though it's edited through CSS, the files will be replaced with default files each update which makes it impossible to maintain the skin. This is mainly speculation on the developers part, but right now it looks as though Steam isn't going to support the skins at the release of the new client (that or the beta is not supporting it.)

Oh yeah. I can't stand the default look of steam, so I've been using Metro for years. https://metroforsteam.com/ Not my picture, and not the most recent update to it, but it makes it so much nicer. Also allows customization of highlight colors, background images (like the steam logo in the image), and even font.

It's really fluid and sleek. If the UI redesign is this good, I guess I won't need a steam skin anymore. Does anyone else dislike the new notification sound?

The local bandits are also assuming the tactics of insurgents -- being disguised as common civilians and ambushing local police forces as they respond to emergency calls. If not for the United States, the Horizon Islands would be in the hands of a malevolent and malicious entity, yet China has decided to repay such devastation with benign intent; the reconstruction of our roads, our bridges, our railways, and more according to this article by the Grand Central Times. It is time for us to rebuild, and it is time for China to leave. China has opened a wound that is not easily mended by rebuilding our home. In fact, it opens the wound further. While some may find this act in good faith, many do not. This is a blatant attempt by the Chinese government to preserve its unequivocally outstanding image and prove to the rest of the world that their intentions were to never cause chaos. Consider for a moment why China has displayed a profound interest in Tanoa and the Horizon Islands as a whole. The islands are home to several mines that contain rare earth metals that are not frequently found in other places. These metals have various applications, but here are some of the more utilized: Scandium - aerospace frameworks, high-intensity lighting, and global telecommunication equipment Gadolinium - used in magnets, computers, and specialty optics Yttrium, Terbium, and Europium - used in computer screens and other devices with visual displays. Each of the elements listed can be found in the Horizon Islands, especially on Tanoa. Each of the elements listed has a military application. Why else would this superpower return after being bested by the United States if not to exploit the mines covertly? While this may seem speculative and may seem like a conspiracy, it is the only logical conclusion one can come to. If China has returned with the intent of using the mines, then it is indisputably time for China to leave. Tanoa does not need their aid and it does not need to remain vigilant to ensure that this entity is not siphoning the resources the islands desperately need to resuscitate the economy. China has dismantled this country enough as it is -- the door is open, and it is ready to hit them on the way out. As much as I loved CoD 4, MW2, and Skyrim -- I don't think I can ever get as immersed as I was in Halo 3. I just want to play my custom games again, man.

It's quite unfortunate that I can nail a dude with multiple shots, have him turn, look at me, and unload which results in my being broken until I can get the proper assistance. Arma suffers from being Arma -- and I find it unfair to be subject to a limp or perma-sway because the target that would realistically be dead is not. Obviously this is a single instance and doesn't account for poor individual performance, but there needs to be an appropriate solution for people.

Caught this on a refresh, but: Why? Because I like playing in a roleplay-esque environment and this definitely suits that. I especially like the idea of playing a "new" campaign every once in a while and it gives me something to look forward to when I have nothing else to look forward to. Why Arma? Frankie definitely got my into Arma/DayZ and when I first started playing it I knew it was a game I'd enjoy. Unfortunately, I'm not that big a fan of the actual multiplayer and milsim is just better for me. Why the 3d? Cole and Koch, honestly. Familiarity with old friends and then the welcoming and social environment of a community is something that I've always enjoyed. I think the initial interactions I had with Red and Whelan and then playing other games with the other members really sealed the deal for me.

To be fair I think the Finka is pretty balanced if it means every other debuff in the game essentially ruins her buff (i.g smoke and gu). But how would I know? I suck.
