I'm just starting the process of enlisting in the Army. Going for 11B w/ Airborne ('cause who needs knees?), but it's too early to say for sure. Currently though, I occasionally get to contract work with my step-dad at a company that builds pump skids. I honestly couldn't tell you how they work, I just do the basic work: spray painting, connecting pipes, sorting parts, heavy lifting, moving stuff with the crane, etc. The works fun, but it's in a metal warehouse in SE Texas with no AC, meaning it's often upwards of 100 degrees (highest internal temp I've seen was 112). It's great work though, makes me feel like I'm actually earning the money and not just being given it because I legally have to be. And I've only thrown out my back once.

Currently I am the Offensive Coordinator for a high school football team, During the off season/school year I work as basically a dean or "redirection" person during the school day. Pretty easy job, just sit in my room all day and do jack shit and go on the forums on my work desktop. Only sometimes I have to deal with shithead kids. Some are still assholes even I am trying to be chill, but what can you do. Our head coach also just got hired to coach the Chicago Bears, so it is possible I could get that position. I am also currently enlisted in the Army as an 11B with an airborne extension, with a ship date set for late April.

I’ve always had a passion for flight, my plan was to serve in the military and do college after, then apply to fly for a commercial airline like Delta, I am currently considering pulling my 11B contract before I ship out and possibly flying in the military instead, either Air Force Fixed Pilot, TACP or Army 153A. I just wanna fly a damn A-10

I am looking to join the air force as a drone operator after getting my degree. The best route to take for flying would be a 153A, no degree, just very selective. I would go for 153A BEFORE enlisting, don't listen to your recruiters bullshit of 'it'll be easier if you enlist'. The odds of you getting past selection bored as an enlisted are slim, and the requirements are ridiculous. Street to seat is the way.

But if you do TACP bud, god speed and hope to see you on the other end of the sat-com some 5 years from now bud ;)

Currently I just started my career in Law Enforcement in the Private Sector.  At the moment for US Security Associates as an unarmed guard rent a cop bullshit until I get my certifications for sidearms, shotguns, and outsource for rifles which is not far into the future at all if anything a couple weeks.  Future plan is to go full Law Enforcement and follow the bloodline in either the Army or Marines in either grunts, tankers, or Special Forces family wise comprised of 2 Green Berets and a Marine Raider who's no longer with us.  When this medical bullshit clears anyway if not, stay the course where I'm at and get in to bigger companies doing private contracting down the road.

I am an 1161 in the USMC, I do what Capt. Kardnal does but I get to shoot shit on the government's dime. Hoping to do 20 years get the hell out after 4 years. Too much dumb shit goes on while you're in garrison and we never really deploy. Wanted to be a tank crewman but there slots were filled up so I chose to do 2111 which is Small Arms Tech...well the small print said "get fucked civi you're a refrigeration guy now who stores dead bodies".

Currently a Lifeguard... hopefully soon to be promoted to Aquatics Coordinator for that extra bit of cash. I watch people swim and when someone tries to drown I firmly tell them "Fuck no you don't!" EZ job but seriously boring. I am also a weekend warrior in the Army National Guard, and already miss that active duty pay I had in IET. Looking to get the Army to pay for my Masters and give me a commission through ROTC... as that OCS thing didn't work out. We will see what happens. Full-time career, I am currently looking at local PDs to become a LEO, I literally just need to start applying.

Currently work retail part-time and going to school. Probably going to shelve that for a while and enlist in the US Army as a 19K (M1 Abrams Crewman) because I want to vaporize someone with a 120mm sabot work in a military field where I have some family tradition (great uncle was a Panzer Officer on the Eastern Front, died in/around Stalingrad sometime during the encirclement; Grandfather was a Polish conscript T-55 and T-72 crewman in the mid-to-late 80's; Distant uncle was a PT-91 (Polish T-72 copy) commander in the 90's.) and I think I can enjoy. If I like the Army, might get out and go into the college-to-officer program that they offer and try for Armored Officer, if not I'll take the free college and finish up a business degree or try to get into a law school.

I build race cars kinda sorta, my official job title is technicians apprentice, but I usually do my own thing and have my own jobs. I work at a performance tuning shop been working there for just about a year now before that I was a technician at a Subaru Dealership, I'm a certified Subaru Master Technician which is cool I guess although I'm not ASE certified but I'm workin on it. I do pretty basic stuff for the time being like wiring, brakes, timing belts, headgaskets ect. eventually I'll start doing more adavnced stuff like engine builds and turbo kits or engine swaps. Also currently learning how to weld so I can fab my own exhausts and such.

TLDR I get to build stuff like this

Hello all,

I work primarily as a Paramedic Supervisor for the Tuscola and Saginaw counties in Michigan. I have been a paramedic for about eight years now and really enjoy it. In the time that I have been licensed I have done it all. From cardiac arrests to newborn deliveries on the side of the highway.

I also make some side cash in a few bands that I play bass / sing in. The most notable one as of lately is a band called Midwest Skies which is your typical Blink 182 / pop punk style music.

I love to talk about both of those aspects of my life, so don't ever be afraid to ask!

Still at the gas station under a new (read: Much shittier) manager that was an internal transfer from inside the main store. I already knew he wasn't the greatest, but literally, he transferred out here so he can do even less work and still get paid. Thankfully we got a new store director a few months ago is on my side and we've been trying to crack down on him, but I'm still just biding my time to see if the new guy makes it or if he gets shit canned. Guys a real piece of work and refuses to fix anything when it breaks, even when I've left him specific instructions (this is the service company we use, these are the issues we need to be fixed, all you need to do is call this number). We're talking multiple pumps with receipt printers that don't work, multiple card readers that don't work, a pump that for some reason you can't even select mid-grade, none of which apparently is important enough to him to call for repairs. Meanwhile, I get bitched at by customers and just have to tell them "I'm aware of the problem, however, my boss hasn't gotten it fixed, there is an email address at the top of your receipt for comments."

I can't wait until winter comes and the station is a mess because he decides not to shovel or scrape away the ice next to the pumps :P

I work for a call center for FCA or Chrysler. At this time, I hate my job and want to find something else to do. But my hours for work are great and it is decent pay.
