I have completed my mission of providing urgent meme support to stranded Marine Raiders in the Omani desert: I want to make sure that everyone (except a certain SARC) knows this meme has the most lighthearted intent imaginable. Memes heal26 points

The remarks here are from my own thoughts and ramblings that I feel I must express: Ladies and Gentlemen, I write to you with a heavy heart and a weariness that weighs deeply in my mind, and ask of you all to please stay calm and weather this storm of which few know, or believe they know, all of the truths and facts. I ask of you all to think before taking any drastic actions. We all here made this community together, each and everyone of us, whether you were an S-Shop member or just a grunt from back in the formation of the 13th, each and every person is responsible for the foundation of this group and should be proud of such a fact. Through the long nights and early mornings, we all worked, in each our own ways, to try to propel this unit off the ground and into a state that we can call a home for us, and as such I plead to all of you to not give up just yet. I understand everyone is tired, confused, angry, or all of the above, but I must ask, have we done everything we could? Have we tried to fix all of our problems before throwing in the towel to give up? How many attempted to open clear lines of proper communication? I do not side with one group who say they have been wronged, or another that say they were in the right. I side with the unit that I wasted my hours away at to provide every person here an enjoyable time, just as I know others have. Have we wasted our time? I believe only if we have given up, it was been all for naught. The point I am trying to make, is have you who have left, or are leaving, fought completely for what you think is correct? And those who are being held responsible, have you done your best to clarify and make amends? To those of you who feel they have no power or voice, I disagree. We all made this unit together, and together I feel things can be changed if you actively voice your opinions. Are we not all adults here? Can we not sit down and talk things out? Or must we all jump to rash conclusions and make choices we may regret? If there is one thing I know, it is that pettiness gets no one anywhere, so I must once again plead that we try to be adults about the entire situation, sit down, and talk to those that you feel need to be talked to without resorting to childish antics. I'm sorry if I wasted your time, or you disagree with me, however these are feelings I've been having without a way to express them. My final thoughts are as such, please think before acting. That goes to both parties in this situation. We didn't create this unit to tear each other apart or drift apart. We made this unit because we're all friends who just want to play games with each other, and I personally have made friends here for life, as have a majority of people here, and we should never forget that, no matter the cause of dispute. The boat sails on... Regards, Brian Specter9 points

I would have had a respectful conversation about this in the Tun Tavern except that post was also locked. There is a concerted effort to spin a false narrative and suppress the truth. By the way, S-1 processes retirements, not S-3. Someone using their brain would know this. Also, people were retired without waiving their 72 hour per unit policy.3 points

I always thought you were totally off your fucking head, thanks for proving it so publicly. You're as dense as the day is long, Schram.3 points

Or maybe its the actions of S-3 who are trying to do their jobs and process shit, especially during this period when arguments are ripe for breaking out. Use your brain for once.3 points

Hello. So a majority of you people probably don't know who I am, but who cares. I've been watching some Arma videos, and now I really want to get back to playing again. It's so great seeing a unit/community working so cohesively. It's amazing to think that over a video game online, there's such a close knit unit dedicated to it. I know there have been major debacles in the past, but I am glad that we moved on from the cesspool of humanity and learned from our past. You guys are amazing, I commend all of you. Perhaps once school and the military is out of the way, I can finally come back to what I've been missing the whole time.2 points

Due to the amount of disrespectful posts and content in the retirements, we (S-1) need to lock the threads to stem it. If everyone was more mature in this entire situation, this would not be the case.2 points

I honestly don't know if my words will be worth anything or not. Dale was the first officer I interacted with as a PV2 when I checked aboard Havoc 2-1-B as a grenadier. He was cordial and engaging and took the time to meet me. I've served under him ever since in just about every level of leadership. I've did some rough calculations and estimate that I've probably spent around 1800 hours talking to him. In that time I would estimate 80% of that conversation was unit related. I've seen him lead or do unit business when he was tired to the point of exhaustion, sick with a fever that should have sent him to hospital, grieving, angry, working, or missing things that were going on in his own life. I've seen him slip to conference rooms at work to talk unit business instead of taking lunch. I can't count the number of hours that I've spent debating unit policy or best courses of action or what a change to the SOP would mean for people in our CoC. There is no one in this unit I've seen put in more work. There is no one I've seen who takes the health of this unit as personally except possibly SgtMaj DeLeo. I've never in all the time I've known him, even once, say anything unsupportive of anyone above him in the CoC. I've heard him argue for other sections for thing that would benefit them to the detriment of his own section because it was best for the unit. I've heard him support many people that almost other's have written off. I am certain that if I'm not the person that most butted heads with him over policy, I'm close. I didn't post my retirement because Dale is my friend, I did it because he's the most caring officer in this unit and he'd have done it for me. All I asked for was for that he be given the respect to have his removal put to a vote because I knew this was the best for the unit and also in keeping with our own regulations.2 points

I was recently messing around with the Liberation mission template from the pub server and now I have two templates for Altis and Tanoa, both with advanced med. Keep in mind, I am not an experienced mission editor so all the stuff still says 13th MEU. Any edits or fixes would be greatly appreciated. Also need a server if anyone is willing. I would have posted my post on Capt Dale's retirement but those threads were locked. That is the action of people who don't want to hear the truth. The same reason that someone was removed against regulations, without a vote.1 point
