Specter Posted May 9, 2017 (edited) The remarks here are from my own thoughts and ramblings that I feel I must express: Ladies and Gentlemen, I write to you with a heavy heart and a weariness that weighs deeply in my mind, and ask of you all to please stay calm and weather this storm of which few know, or believe they know, all of the truths and facts. I ask of you all to think before taking any drastic actions. We all here made this community together, each and everyone of us, whether you were an S-Shop member or just a grunt from back in the formation of the 13th, each and every person is responsible for the foundation of this group and should be proud of such a fact. Through the long nights and early mornings, we all worked, in each our own ways, to try to propel this unit off the ground and into a state that we can call a home for us, and as such I plead to all of you to not give up just yet. I understand everyone is tired, confused, angry, or all of the above, but I must ask, have we done everything we could? Have we tried to fix all of our problems before throwing in the towel to give up? How many attempted to open clear lines of proper communication? I do not side with one group who say they have been wronged, or another that say they were in the right. I side with the unit that I wasted my hours away at to provide every person here an enjoyable time, just as I know others have. Have we wasted our time? I believe only if we have given up, it was been all for naught. The point I am trying to make, is have you who have left, or are leaving, fought completely for what you think is correct? And those who are being held responsible, have you done your best to clarify and make amends? To those of you who feel they have no power or voice, I disagree. We all made this unit together, and together I feel things can be changed if you actively voice your opinions. Are we not all adults here? Can we not sit down and talk things out? Or must we all jump to rash conclusions and make choices we may regret? If there is one thing I know, it is that pettiness gets no one anywhere, so I must once again plead that we try to be adults about the entire situation, sit down, and talk to those that you feel need to be talked to without resorting to childish antics. I'm sorry if I wasted your time, or you disagree with me, however these are feelings I've been having without a way to express them. My final thoughts are as such, please think before acting. That goes to both parties in this situation. We didn't create this unit to tear each other apart or drift apart. We made this unit because we're all friends who just want to play games with each other, and I personally have made friends here for life, as have a majority of people here, and we should never forget that, no matter the cause of dispute. The boat sails on... Regards, Brian Specter Edited May 9, 2017 by SSgt Specter

HM2 (Ret) Boardman Posted May 9, 2017 Yes, I agree with Specter. Please don't leave yet. Please don't give up on OUR unit yet. When you've put in the work for something, you don't just abandon it, you fight for it. This isn't a lost cause, it's an OPPORTUNITY. Let's take it, please. We have an all hands meeting coming and I have some things to say.
SSgt (Ret) Melo Posted May 9, 2017 I've given this unit much of my time, from filling in to S5 stuff. I'm with you guys till the end... All I want is to play Arma 3 with the people I've met here, so far no one that I have been really close with have left. My only concern is, will we be enough to go fuck up those Malakabeli guys for making us pay too much for our gas?
HM2 (Ret) Weik Posted May 9, 2017 Both sides acted rashly and without thought to the consequences. I hope that those of us that have discharged will be allowed to attend the meeting. I have no loyalty to a unit regardless of how much work i may or may not have done, i have loyalty to my friends.

Cpl (Ret) Baker Posted May 9, 2017 (edited) The people who know me knows that im not a negative person, I generaly like everyone (even if they dont like me back), I try to put a smily face to every situation and just laugh it out... I know this is a silly and childish view of the world, but I really like to think everyone is my friend. I didnt want to make a rash decision, but the decisions made are just wrong. Just look at the actual Command Staff and you will see that the suspicions some people talked about for months are turning into reality. Its weird to even try to describre it, but people had actual schemes in place to play other people... to play other game companions. This is supposed to be a milsim, and as such we are supposed to have respect for the other, even if they are higher or lower ranked. I think there is no justification for what happened here, and the last nail in the coffin (for me) was what I saw when I checked the status on the teamspeak server. I left a screenshot in my retirement post which im not going to reproduce here again. I hope you guys, friends, find what you are looking for in this unit, but please... watch your backs... after today you may not know what you will see next. Edit: + For the ones I have on steam: Id love to keep in touch with you and play anything! + For the ones who dont have me on steam feel free to add me and keep in touch: http://steamcommunity.com/id/clodan/ Edited May 9, 2017 by Cpl Baker
